Captain George J. Hill, Medical Corps, U.S. Navy (retired)
Dr. Hill was the first U.S. Navy Medical Officer to graduate from the U.S. Army Airborne School, Fort Benning, Georgia.
He was a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve in 1950-52, and he was on active duty in the U.S. Public Health Service during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He is a veteran of the War in Vietnam and he was recalled to duty as a surgeon in the Navy during the Gulf War of 1990-91. He received the Civic Actions Medal, Gallantry Color, with Palm and Frame from the Republic of Vietnam in 1972, and he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal from the U.S. Navy in 1993. He received the New Jersey Distinguished Service Medal in 2001.
